Elon Musk Says XAI Will Sue Apple For Alleged Monopoly Practices On App Store
JAKARTA - Entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk said that his intelligence company, xAI, would take legal steps against tech giant Apple.
These allegations came after xAI judged Apple to be acting in a way that made any AI company, apart from OpenAI, impossible to reach the top rankings on the App Store.
Through a statement shared on X's social media, Musk called Apple's actions a clear antitrust offense.
Apple is behaving in a manner that makes it impossible for any AI company besides OpenAI to reach #1 in the App Store, which is an unequivocal antitrust violation.
xAI will take immediate legal action.

However, Musk did not provide any evidence to support his claims. Until now, Apple, OpenAI, and xAI have not provided an official statement regarding the case.
Recently, Musk has also announced his plans to add ads to Grok's replies. Until now, Grok is still integrated into X and not a few users use the AI-based chatbot.

This plan was delivered when Musk attended a live discussion on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. Although X has revealed an increase in his advertising business over the past few years, the platform is still struggling.
The addition of these ads is claimed to benefit xAI. Musk said that so far his team has only focused on improving the accuracy and intelligence of Grok. Now, they will start to focus on increasing revenue in the AI model.
