Resilience Is Not Optional: #BusinessContinuityID Launches to Protect Indonesia’s Social Ecosystem

JAKARTA - As the world’s fourth most populous nation, Indonesia faces mounting pressure to safeguard its 147 million-strong labor force, spanning both formal and informal sectors. In 2025, over 26,000 layoffs have been recorded, an alarming indicator of how global volatility, shifting economic dynamics, and institutional vulnerabilities are disrupting livelihoods and essential services. In response to this growing instability, the urgent need for robust Business Continuity Management (BCM) frameworks has become clear not only for private enterprises, but especially for public-serving institutions such as schools, clinics, cooperatives, and grassroots organizations.

In response to these pressing challenges, #BusinessContinuityID, a resilience campaign has been officially launched through a strategic collaboration between Infinity Continuity, a consulting firm specializing in organizational resilience and crisis management, and Campaign for Good, a technology-driven social impact platform. The initiative aims to strengthen the operational readiness of public-serving organizations such as schools, healthcare facilities, cooperatives, and nonprofit institutions, by providing them with practical training and strategic tools essential for sustaining their functions amidst crises and ongoing uncertainty.

In times of crisis, it’s not just systems that are tested, but values, leadership, and an organization’s ability to adapt. In today’s world of increasing uncertainty, the capacity to sustain operations through disruption is no longer a competitive edge, it's a strategic necessity, especially for institutions that serve the public.

Through the national campaign #BusinessContinuityID, five selected organizations will gain full access to a 2-Day Intensive Business Continuity Management (BCM) Training, a hands-on, practical learning experience designed to equip leaders with the tools to maintain essential services, protect staff, and respond with clarity during operational crises. The program goes beyond frameworks, offering real-world strategies tailored to the specific needs of public-serving organizations.

As a pioneer in organizational resilience, Infinity Continuity brings an integrated approach combining internationally aligned BCM methodologies with crisis management strategies customized for both public and private sectors. With a strong international track record and deep practical expertise, Infinity Continuity serves not merely as a facilitator, but as a strategic partner to organizations determined to remain resilient, responsive, and relevant amid global change.

Gary NG, Director of Preparedness & Resiliency and Founder of Infinity Continuity, emphasized that resilience is no longer optional, it's a strategic necessity.

“In uncertain times, #BusinessContinuityID serves as a catalyst to help schools, clinics, cooperatives, and communities not just survive, but continue to make an impact even in the midst of crisis. Business Continuity Management training isn’t just about internal procedures, it’s about safeguarding the entire social ecosystem that depends on these institutions.”

William Gondokusumo, CEO of Campaign for Good, added that this campaign is not just a technical program, it is a strategic movement that celebrates community strength in the face of adversity.

“We aim to reignite hope through grassroots stories about how organizations stay resilient while others falter. Powered by digital storytelling and technology, our mission is to scale this impact and inspire others to take part in building a more robust, sustainable social resilience framework for Indonesia.”

The #BusinessContinuityID campaign was officially launched in June, inviting nonprofit organizations and community groups engaged in public service to register for participation. The selection process is currently being conducted through the Campaign for Good platform and will continue until the end of August. In September, two outstanding organizations will be named as full scholarship recipients to attend an intensive training program in Jakarta. The campaign will conclude in October with the publication of an impact report highlighting key outcomes, participant experiences, and overall contributions.
