Producer Of The Red And White Animated Film One For All Denies About Funds Of IDR 6.7 Billion From The Government
JAKARTA - The producer of the animated film Merah Putih One For All, Toto Soegriwo, has openly denied the allegations that his party had received funds from the government amounting to Rp. 6.7 billion.
He emphasized that the issue was a heinous slander that not only attacked him professionally, but had also put serious mental pressure on his family. In an official statement, Toto firmly rejected the accusation.
"In response to allegations circulating widely on social media regarding the alleged receipt of funds of Rp 6.7 billion from the government for the production of the animated film Merah Putih One For All, I, Toto Soegriwo as the Producer, firmly state that the accusation is not true and is a heinous slander," wrote Toto Soegriwo, quoted by VOI from Instagram @soegriwoto, Tuesday, August 12.
He added that the impact of this slander has greatly disturbed his family's personal life, which now has to face blasphemy from netizens.
"We have never received a single rupiah of funds from the government, let alone committed acts of corruption or used illegal money as alleged. This issue not only attacks my personal life, but also has a serious impact on my family, wife, and children who are now experiencing mental stress and feelings of pressure due to widespread blasphemy," he continued.

Therefore, he appealed to the wider community not to participate in spreading false information and stopping all forms of baseless attacks.
"In this regard, we ask the public and netizens not to participate in spreading false information, and to stop all forms of blasphemy, slander, and baseless attacks," explained Toto.
To strengthen his rebuttal, Toto even quoted the clarification that had been provided by the government through the Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar. He explained that interactions with the government are only limited to hearings to get creative input, without any financial assistance at all.
"The government through Mrs. Irene Umar, Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, has also provided an official clarification that when she received an audience with the Red and White Team One For All, she only provided a number of inputs related to stories, characters, visuals (look & feeling), trailers, and other creative aspects - as she did to every audience. He did not provide financial assistance or promotional facilities to this film," explained Toto Soegriwo.
He closed his statement in the hope that this clarification could clear the situation and restore his good name.
"I convey this clarification sincerely and honestly, in order to maintain the truth of my information and good name. I hope that the public can understand the real problem, so that I can return to life and work calmly," he concluded.
