Resigning From The Position Of President Director Of Agrinas Pangan, Joao: We Can't Get Support
JAKARTA - Joao Angelo De Sousa Mota revealed his reason for resigning from the position of President Director of PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara.
He said, because for 6 months he could not contribute to President Prabowo Subianto's target regarding food self-sufficiency.
Joao said that there was no contribution because he did not get support in carrying out his duties. Especially in terms of budget.
"The president's seriousness in supporting and mobilizing all efforts to open food sovereignty is not fully supported by stakeholders or their assistants. So until today we have not received maximum support, including budget support to this day, Agrinas Pangan Nusantara is still zero," Joao Mota said at a press conference, in Jakarta, Monday, August 11.
He also mentioned the role of the Anagata Nusantara Power Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) which has not fully supported Agrinas Pangan Nusantara to realize the vision in maintaining Indonesia's food security.
In fact, continued Joao, the agency was formed to help state-owned companies achieve food security goals.
"Danantara was formed as a new body to accelerate or shorten the processes of activities that are more business-related, no longer a bureaucracy that builds a very long, convoluted bureaucracy that we almost cannot realize," he said.
Joao also decided to resign. He also apologized because during his 6 months as President Director of Agrinas Pangan had not been able to contribute to the national economy or contribute to realizing the welfare of the community and farmers who were the goals of Agrinas.
"Therefore, we deeply regret it, we apologize to all citizens, especially farmers, to the state and the president who have shown us to carry out this position," he said.
"So allow me, submit my resignation and allow me to apologize," continued Joao.
