Recognize 5 Breaths That Can Be A Sign Of Health Problems

JAKARTA - From the shape of the nail surface to the color of the tongue, our body actually has many signs that can indicate health problems. One of the signs is a breath that is important to pay attention to.

Many people may think the smell of the mouth is only caused by lazy brushes or mostly drinking coffee. However, research shows the smell of breath can be an early sign of serious health problems in the body.

Some types of aroma can indicate diabetes, while others lead to liver function disorders.

"You can be a shocking window for health," said Allen Zhang, a dentist and founder of ProDENT, a company developing mouth imaging technology for early detection of the disease, quoted from the Daily Mail's official website on Saturday, August 9.

According to him, there are 5 types of breaths that are often ignored, even though they can be a signal of disease.

1. Fruit Or Aston

Sweet airsmells, such as pearl drops or deletion of nail polish can be an uncontrolled sign of diabetes. Research found that the aroma of fruit in the breath is often associated with high levels of ketones in the blood.

2. Metals

The smell of metal in the breath can indicate problems in the kidneys or heavy metal exposure. This occurs when the kidneys are unable to dispose of body waste effectively, including the urea that will turn into ammonia when mixed with saliva. The presence of this ammonia makes the breath feel metal.

3. Fish Smell

Amis-smellary breaths can indicate metabolic disorders named trimethylaminuria. In this condition, the body is unable to break up trimethylamin compounds that smell like rotten fish.

Amis smell can also be a symptom of liver problems, especially hepatitis fetors, a condition where the liver fails to filter the poison from the blood, so that compounds such as dimethyl sulfides accumulate and are exhaled through the breath.

4. The smell of Rotten Eggs

If the breath smells of sulfur or like a rotten egg, it can lead to digestive disorders. This smell is caused by hydrogen sulfide gas produced during the digestive process.

5. Appek Or Pengap

The smell of stuffy or pungent breath can indicate kidney problems or even signs of liver failure.

"All of this is a diagnostic clue, not just a problem of oral hygiene." Zhang explained.

He added that medical technology is now starting to develop to help doctors detect the risk of disease through biological signs in the mouth, including sulfur and tonne compounds in the breath.
