Maspion Bank's Profit Owned by Conglomerate Alim Markus Reaches Rp15.8 Billion in 2021's First Quarter
JAKARTA - PT Bank Maspion Indonesia Tbk posted a performance growth in the first quarter of 2021. The net profit for the current year of this BMAS-coded bank reached Rp18.82 billion in the first quarter of 2021.
As reported from the financial report of Maspion Bank, Sunday, May 9, the achievement of this company owned by conglomerate Alim Markus increased 19.11 percent on an annual basis compared to the realization in the same period the previous year, valued at Rp15.8 billion.
The increase in profit occurred in line with interest income which increased by 32.48 percent YoY from Rp150.32 billion to Rp199.15 billion.
However, this growth in interest income was accompanied by an increase in interest expense from Rp88.50 billion to Rp134.86 billion. From here, net interest income grew 3.98 percent YoY from Rp61.82 billion to Rp64.28 billion.

In lending, BMAS recorded a growth of 7.53 percent year to date from Rp6.91 trillion to Rp7.42 trillion. On the fundraising side, Maspion Bank's DPK was dominated by deposits worth Rp7.91 trillion, then demand deposits worth Rp936.21 billion, and savings Rp932.88 billion.
The capital adequacy ratio of Maspion Bank was recorded at 15.58 percent as of the end of March 31, 2021, down from March 2020 which amounted to 20.34 percent. Meanwhile, the ratio of non-performing loans or gross NPL was at 2.26 percent and net NPL at 2.11 percent.
