Google Messages Fixs The Cuted Text Problem In RCS With "More Content" Button
JAKARTA - Google continues to improve the user experience in the Messages app, and this time they present a solution to a problem that has been annoying for a long time, namely truncated text on RCS messages from the business. By introducing the "More content" button, users can now read the message completely without worrying about the important information being missed.
So far, business messages sent via RCS rich cards are often truncated due to display limits in the application. Even though Google has previously tried to enlarge the size of the carousel, this problem has not been fully resolved. As a result, users are often confused because the information that should be complete is not fully legible.
Now, Google presents a more effective solution. When an RCS message has too long content, a "More content" button will appear at the bottom of the carousel.

Users can click this button or even tap on any text area in the carousel to open the full display that can be shifted. That way, the entire message content can be read without any cut part.
This update is very useful, both for users and businesses. Users no longer miss important details, while businesses can ensure their messages are fully delivered, including calls or critical information to be delivered.
This feature is currently in the testing phase through the Google Messages Open Betadan which is expected to be launched globally at the end of the third quarter of 2025. With this update, Google is further strengthening the position of RCS as a modern alternative to traditional SMS replacement which is still limited to 160 characters per message.
