TB Simatupang Road Congested Due To Pipe Galian, Transportation Agency Asks Residents To Find Other Routes
JAKARTA - Recently, severe congestion is often on Jalan TB Simatupang, South Jakarta. Many motorized vehicle drivers complain that their time and energy are wasted because they cross the road.
Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, explained the cause. Currently, wastewater pipe installation work is being carried out.
"The location of the wastewater pipe installation work is on Jalan TB Simatupang entering construction work gradually," Syafrin told reporters, Thursday, August 7.
To unravel the density of traffic there, Syafrin asked the public to find other routes to pass.
"Road users are advised to avoid these roads and be able to adjust the traffic arrangements set, obey traffic signs, instructions from officers in the field and prioritize road safety," explained Syafrin.
The work consists of making pits or excavation holes, installing pipes using a jacking method of 2,549 meters, making manholes, to repairing roads.

Currently, construction work consumes one lane of traffic, leaving one or two lanes that road users can cross.
In its planning, the five sections of the implementation of the Perumda Paljaya project will be completed from November to December 2025.
"PT Rosa Lisca as the implementer of the Wastewater Pipe Installation in the Simatupang TB Road Area is fully responsible for the safety and security of road users at the construction site," added Syafrin.
