Pati Regent Sudewo Apologizes, Ready To Review PBB-P2 Increase 250 Percent
Regent Pati Sudewo emphasized that the increase in land and urban and urban tax rates (PBB-P2) to 250 percent was the maximum limit and was not applied to all tax objects, because there was an increase of only 50 percent.
"Many have an increase of 50 percent, because the 250 percent increase is not the average increase that applies to all taxpayers," he said in Pati, Thursday, August 7, as reported by ANTARA.
According to him, the 250 percent figure is the highest limit in effect, but in reality, many taxpayers only experienced an increase below 100 percent, even 50 percent.
"If there are those who object to an increase of up to 250 percent, I will review it again," he said.
Regent Pati Sudweo also apologized for the riots on Tuesday (5/8).
According to him, the district government has no intention of confiscating the goods of the action participants, but only wants to move these items so as not to interfere with the members of the Pati Regency Anniversary and the August 17, 2025 activities.
Regarding his statement which had drawn controversy, Sudewo also clarified his remarks about "5,000 please, 50,000 people please" not intend to challenge the people.
"I just want to convey that the action is orderly and purely as conveying aspirations, not being ridden by certain parties," he explained.
Sudewo also revealed that until now, the realization of PBB payments in Pati Regency has reached almost 50 percent.
