Judge Gives Medical Permission, Nikita Mirzani Cares To Ask For Trial To Continue
JAKARTA - An unexpected drama occurred in the South Jakarta District Court courtroom when the panel of judges gave permission to Nikita Mirzani for treatment at a specialist doctor.
Instead of accepting it with pleasure, Nikita even protested loudly and insisted on continuing the trial she had been waiting for so long.
The judge's decision was taken after considering a sick certificate from the Pondok Bambu Detention Center which stated that Nikita needed to get an examination from a neuroscientist and internal medicine.
"Considering that based on the letters mentioned above, it turns out that there is a fact that the defendant Nikita Mirzani is suffering from illness which requires an examination of a neuroscientist and internal medicine specialist," said Chief Judge Khairul Soleh at the South Jakarta District Court, Thursday, August 7.
On that basis, the panel of judges gave Nikita a special permission to leave the detention center for her purpose of treatment.

"Considering that because the defendant is currently a prisoner at the South Jakarta District Court and to give the defendant an opportunity to have an examination at a neuroscientist and internal medicine specialist, the Panel of Judges needs to give permission to the defendant to leave the Correctional Institution for medical purposes and after completing the medical examination in question, to immediately return to Pondok Bambu State Detention Center," he continued.
However, Nikita Mirzani's reaction was unexpected. He firmly refused the permit and requested that the trial be continued that day.
"Sir, I still want a trial, sir. The treatment can be tomorrow, sir. I still want to go to trial, sir. (Talking to Fahmi Bachmid) I want a trial. I don't want to be postponed," said Nikita Mirzani.
Khairul Soleh, tried to explain that the decision was taken for Nikita's own health interests.
"Health is very important. The Assembly does not want to postpone it. The Assembly will be blamed," said Khairul Soleh.
The judge's refusal to continue the trial made Nikita even more frustrated. He felt that the trial process was very complicated.
"Oh my God, why is this really my trial. I want it tomorrow. I'm still strong, sir, to follow the trial. I'll just go to the hospital tomorrow. Please sir. I've been waiting so long, sir," continued Nikita Mirzani.
Even though Nikita insisted, the panel of judges remained in its decision to postpone the trial. The trial was closed and rescheduled for the following week.
"We will give the opportunity to ask questions. Later we will ask to come again dr. Samira if you don't ask the legal adviser. You will still be informed," explained Khairul Soleh.
"Later, please convey the prosecutor to the witness to appear again on Thursday, August 14, 2025, the trial will be closed," he said.
