Social Minister Make Sure There Are No Social Assistance Recipients In 10 Million Dormant Accounts
JAKARTA - Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Saifullah Yusuf confirmed that none of the recipients of social assistance (bansos) from his ministry were found in 10 milliondomant accounts, after the matching process for the population number carried out with the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK).
"After we checked, not a singlenormant account was in accordance with the NIK of the social assistance recipient from the Ministry of Social Affairs," said Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, August 7.
According to him, these findings show the importance of layered verification in the process of distributing social assistance so that there are no leaks or wrong-target assistance.
The dimant account in question is a passive account that has a significant balance, but does not show any activity of withdrawing aid for a certain period of time.
"If the account is not active for more than three months plus 15 days, then according to the provisions, the funds must be returned to the state," said the Minister of Social Affairs.

Gus Ipul said that the verification carried out later would not only target the recipient's account, but also members of the Beneficiary Family (KPM) would start combing into the advanced stages of cooperation with PPATK.
The double verification measure is considered to be part of a national strategy for the management of more accurate, inclusive, and evidence-based social assistance.
