Case Of Misappropriation Of BUMD Bandung PT BDS, West Java Police Examine 12 Witnesses

West Java Regional Police (West Java Police) said they had examined 12 witnesses for cases of alleged fraud and embezzlement involving the Regional Owned Enterprise (BUMD) Bandung Regency, PT Bandung Daya Sentosa (PT BDS).

Director of the General Criminal Investigation of the West Java Police, Kombes Pol. Surawan, said the investigation was based on a report from one of the vendors who felt financially disadvantaged.

"Yes, that's right, we are handling it. We have asked 12 people for information. Next week, it will be the turn of the reported party from PT BDS to be questioned," said Surawan in Bandung, Thursday, as quoted by Antara.

Surawan has not provided further information regarding the investigation material on the grounds that it is still in the initial information collection stage.

He added that investigations related to this case will continue to be monitored considering that many parties claim to be victims and separate reports have been submitted to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

Meanwhile, one of the reporters, CEO of CV Indofarm Dedet Aprila, admitted that he had reported the case to the West Java Regional Police. He said, apart from himself, there were about 18 other vendors who also felt they were victims in the same case.

"I have reported to the West Java Regional Police and are currently in process," he said.

He also said that several other vendor colleagues had taken legal action by reporting the case to the KPK, because it was suspected of being related to a criminal act of corruption.

"If I'm just more criminal. But there is also a friend in Bandung who reported it to the KPK. The KPK has been involved in a criminal act of corruption," he said.

Dedet emphasized that the purpose of reporting is not just to collect payments, but to ensure that all parties involved can be legally processed.

"The state must remain responsible for paying us, and these bandits must be arrested. It must be prosecuted," he said.
