Indonesian People Spend IDR 50-100 Thousand To Buy Monthly Internet Packages
JAKARTA - The 2025 Indonesia Internet Profile Survey by the Indonesian Internet Network Operators Association (APJII) states that the majority (74.27%) of Indonesians use mobile data from cellular operators to access the internet.
This report saw where 52.27% of respondents admitted to issuing around IDR 51,000 - 100,000 to subscribe to internet packages per month. Meanwhile, 34.52% spent less than IDR 50,000 to buy internet packages.
In 2025, more people feel that connection costs are getting more expensive (58.81%) compared to 2024 (43.49%). Meanwhile, those who feel that the cost remains the same actually decreased significantly from 48.39% to 31.67%.
The APJII survey also expressed people's hopes, where the majority of respondents (70.44%) now prefer affordable prices with stable quality of connections a new preference that appears in this year's survey.
Meanwhile, expectations for expensive but fast packages actually dropped drastically from 60.92% in 2024 to only 16.82% in 2025.

Interest in free but limited internet packages also decreased from 27.51% to 7.71%, as well as low but slow packages which are now only selected by 5.03% of respondents, down from 11.57%.
This finding shows that there is a shift in people's preferences towards balance between price and quality, instead of choosing one extremely.
