Becoming A Witness, Vadel Badjideh's Brother Unloads Shocking Facts In Court
JAKARTA - The follow-up trial of the case that ensnared Vadel Badjideh presented an emotional moment when his two older siblings, Martin and Bintang Badjideh and the fianc of one of his brothers were brought in directly from London as witnesses in the trial of the alleged immoral act of Nikita Mirzani's daughter, LM.
However, their testimony exposed a fact that was quite surprising regarding one of the central issues in this case.
Oya Abdul Malik, Vadel Badjideh's attorney, explained that the agenda for today's trial was to hear the statements of fact witnesses from the family.
"Today's Vadel trial is the agenda of fact witnesses from his two siblings and one from his brother's fianc in London who also presented his translator, so today his statement was heard by the panel, what statements they saw and they know," said Oya Abdul Malik at the South Jakarta District Court, Wednesday, August 6th.
Surprisingly, Oya revealed that based on testimony in the courtroom, Vadel's brothers did not know anything about the abortion issue involving LM. They only found out about this after the police report.

"It turned out that I didn't know (about LM's abortion). That if his brother didn't know, only found out after it was reported, I couldn't reveal the rest," he continued.
Even so, Oya considers today's testimony to be quite good and in accordance with the facts they know. He also hopes that this testimony can ease his client's position.
"However, the testimony from today's witness is quite good according to the facts they know," said Oya Abdul Malik.
"God willing, hopefully because every time there are witnesses, I think that hopefully it can be mitigated," he said.
On the other hand, Vadel Badjideh himself is said to have shown mixed reactions when he saw his family testify for him. There was shock, joy, as well as sadness that he felt.
"There was a shock that there was joy, there was sadness because his family was involved as a witness, happy that his sister might meet his brothers and sisters, listening to his brother's statement, he was surprised 'how come they became witnesses for me'," said Oya Abdul Malik.
