JAKARTA The Central Board of the Indonesian Sambo Association (PP Persambi) confirmed the addition of seven junior women's combat numbers that will be contested in the 2025 Sambo Youth and Junior Self-Defense World Championships.
The championship, entitled World Sambo Youth and Junior Championship 2025, is scheduled to take place on October 1-6, 2025 at JSI Resort Megamendung, Bogor, West Java.
Secretary General of PP Persambi, Arnold Silalahi, said that the addition of seven women's commbat numbers was proposed by the Asian-Oseanian state.
"Previously, FIAS (Sambo International Federation) considered that there were less women's relatives, so there were at least seven countries that would attend and participate in women's communications."
"After the poll, it turns out that more than seven countries will attend and in each class a minimum of 3-4 countries must participate," he said in Jakarta on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
