Encouraging Economic Growth, Government Prepares IDR 10.8 Trillion
Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati said that the government would disburse a budget of Rp. 10.8 trillion as a stimulus package to encourage economic activity in the third quarter of 2025.
According to Sri Mulyani, this stimulus is mostly allocated to accelerate the implementation of President Prabowo Subianto's priority programs.
Some of these include the Free Nutrition Food Program (MBG), the construction of people's schools that have reached nearly 200 buildings, school rehabilitation, and the provision of Housing Financing Liquidity Facilities (FLPP).
"We still have Rp10.8 trillion for the stimulus of economic activity that will be carried out in the third quarter, which we hope will also provide momentum in July that we just passed and later in August it is hoped that the momentum will be maintained," he said at the Press Conference on Economic Growth in the Second Quarter of 2025, Tuesday, August 5.
In addition, he conveyed that the Government also continues to maintain people's purchasing power through efforts to stabilize food prices and deregulation in the agricultural sector, especially to ensure the availability of subsidized fertilizers during the planting season.
In order to maintain price stability, he said that the Government had allocated additional funds to Perum Bulog amounting to Rp. 16.6 trillion for the stabilization of rice prices, as well as Rp. 5 trillion to stabilize corn prices.
Furthermore, Sri Mulyani revealed, the government together with the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs are preparing additional stimulus specifically designed to welcome the Christmas and New Year 2025 holidays.
"This will also be done later, hopefully it can be announced sooner so that people can plan for travel at the end of the year," he said.
Sri Mulyani emphasized that she is quite optimistic that with various efforts made by the Government, national economic growth can be maintained in the range of 5 percent according to the government's target this year.

Adapun anggaran stimulus tersebut terdiri dari Rp23,59 triliun yang bersumber dari Anggaran Pendapatan dan Belanja Negara (APBN), serta Rp0,85 triliun yang berasal dari sektor non-APBN, termasuk kontribusi dunia usaha.
Bantuan yang diberikan mencakup berbagai bentuk, antara lain diskon transportasi, diskon tarif tol, peningkatan nilai bantuan sosial, Bantuan Subsidi Upah (BSU), hingga perpanjangan diskon iuran untuk program Jaminan Kehilangan Kerja (JKK).

For information, in the second quarter of 2025, the government has distributed a stimulus of IDR 24.4 trillion which has contributed to 5.12 percent of economic growth.
The stimulus budget consists of IDR 23.59 trillion sourced from the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN), and IDR 0.85 trillion from the non-APBN sector, including the contribution of the business world.
The assistance provided includes various forms, including transportation discounts, toll tariff discounts, increasing the value of social assistance, Wage Subsidy Assistance (BSU), to extending due discounts for the Job Loss Guarantee (JKK) program.
