Synopsis Of Weapons Film: When Children All Over The City Disappeared

JAKARTA - Director Zach Cregger has finally found enlightenment with the film Weapons, a film he has been working on for several years. This film went a long way even though he got success after the film Barbarian in 2022.

This film is a little inspired by the film Magnolia (1999) directed by Paul Thomas Anderson with a script that has been made with the epic horror genre. Its interesting premise has even become a struggle between New Line Cinema, Universal Pictures, Netflix, and others.

In addition, this film starred Pedro Pascal and Renate Reinsve in 2023, but Pascal left because he focused on Fantastic Four: First Steps. Now, the film is played by a number of well-known actors and actresses such as Josh Brolin, Julia Garner, Alden Ehrenreich, and others.

Check out the synopsis of the film Weapons below:

Weapons set an incident in the middle of the night that made the public dumbfounded. At 02.17 a.m., 17 children disappeared from a city.

These children woke up, came out of bed, opened the door of the house, and ran with their hands stretched like planes. They crossed their place to live in an area.

All the children who disappeared had something in common, namely they were third graders in Justine Gandy's (Julia Garner) class.

Gandy, who was surprised to see the blanks of the class, only found a child named Alex (Cary Christopher) who did not disappear.

However, Alex's presence actually made the parents of the children who disappeared even more annoyed because he did not experience this.

On the other hand, Archer Graph (Josh Brolin) is one of the parents who is sad that his son Matt has disappeared. He met Justine Gandy to finish behind this phenomenon.

The film Weapons will hit Indonesian cinemas starting August 6, 2025.
