Government Will Launch Housing KUR Program, Encourage Entrepreneurs To Advance Class Through The Property Sector

JAKARTA - Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP), Maruarar Sirait said, the government will launch a new program, namely Public Business Credit (KUR) Housing, a new initiative for the first time held in Indonesia.

He made this statement in the agenda of signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the addition of Quota for Housing Financing Liquidity Facilities (FLPP) PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) Tbk, Jakarta, Tuesday, August 5.

"I will be with Pak Airlangga (Menko for the Economy) and the Minister of Finance will convey about the housing KUR. This country has never had a housing KUR. Only once, the housing KUR," said Maruar.

He said that the launch of the Housing KUR would involve many cross-sectoral parties, such as State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), banks, and business actors. In this case, BRI is an important partner because of its experience in distributing KUR.

"We want this first implementation to be successful. Therefore, I ask for full support from BRI who is already very experienced in distributing KUR," said Maruarar.

The Housing KUR program is believed to be moving various industrial sectors, ranging from developers (developers), contractors, to small business actors related to homestay needs and people's settlements.

According to Maruarar, the Housing KUR is not just a credit, but a real step towards just development and encouraging the community's economy.

"I ask for this full support from BRI, so that we can make history. Make history for a better, fairer Indonesia. Make entrepreneurs advance to class. And I believe this is BRI's goal, how to make from micro to small, medium to big, big conglomerates," he asked.
