Illegal Parking Back In The Side Of The Taman Anggrek Mall Even Though It Has Been Given An Ultimatum
JAKARTA Illegal parking on Jalan Tanjung Duren Timur II, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta, right next to Taman Anggrek Mall, is back to mushroom even though the authorities have issued their last warning.
Quoted from ANTARA, Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 13.00 WIB, hundreds of two-wheeled vehicles were illegally parked along the side of the road.
Previously, this location was the target of a control operation by joint officers from the Satpol PP, the Transportation Service, and the TNI-Polri on June 16, 2025, including the lifting of vehicle tire pinning. However, the control effort does not seem to have produced long-term results.
West Jakarta Satpol PP has even given ultimatums to illegal parking attendants (jukir) at that location. If they remain stubborn, they will be transported to the Kedoya Social Home.
Unfortunately, the ultimatum was ignored. Illegal parking activities are still ongoing and the number of vehicles continues to grow.
A motorcyclist named Gari (31) admitted that he had often seen officers carry out control, but conditions were repeated.
"The control here is already very often, but yes it appears again. It seems that it is difficult to control," said Gari.
According to him, the existence of illegal parking at that location does not always cause traffic jams. However, when the flow of vehicles is congested, illegal parking often interferes with the smooth running of traffic.

"Usually it doesn't make traffic jams. But if it's busy, it makes it difficult. We can't overtake the car," he said.
Gari also hopes that the government can provide a more permanent solution than just a control operation.
"Because here pedestrians also pass. So this is about pedestrian rights too," he said.
Previously, Acting (Plt) Head of Satpol PP Grogol Petamburan, Goodman Sidabutar, emphasized that his party had given the last warning to illegal jukirs not to use sidewalks and public facilities for personal gain.
"We have given today's last warning to illegal parking attendants not to take advantage of public facilities, especially sidewalks, to be used as land for making money by seizing pedestrians' rights," said Goodman, Wednesday, June 16, 2025.
He added, if the illegal jukir are still found operating, they will be immediately taken to the Kedoya Social Institution.
"Tomorrow if we find it again, we will transport the illegal parking attendants to the Kedoya Social Institution," he said.
