Komdigi And Australia Stimulate A 19 Percent Digital Economy For GDP Indonesia 2045
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs cooperates with Prospera, a bilateral economic cooperation program with the Australian Government, to accelerate national digital transformation.
This collaboration between Komdigi and Australia is expected to realize the 2045 Golden Indonesia Vision, through two main missions, namely strengthening governance and the direction of digital transformation policies as well as mapping and strengthening internal capacity.
Not only that, the Minister of Trade, Meutya Hafid, targets collaboration to contribute 19 percent to Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by 2045.
To achieve the target of the digital economy's contribution of 19 percent of GDP requires mastery of technology and digitization. We are targeting to become the fifth largest developed country in the world GDP by 2045," Meutya said in an official broadcast.

Deputy Director of Prospera Della Temenggung also welcomed this collaboration. He expressed support for efforts to accelerate digitalization by the Indonesian government.
"This is the time when we see an opportunity to make a leap towards 2045," he said.
Della emphasized that as a bilateral cooperation program between the Government of Indonesia and the Government of Australia through the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), Prospera is committed to strengthening economic and digital transformation policies in Indonesia.
This is not the first time the Indonesian government has collaborated with the Kangaroo Country, because Australia has become a strategic partner for Indonesia.
In December last year, Menkomdigi Meutya also met with Australian Interior Minister, Tony Burke, to explore the possibility of cooperation with Australia to increase Indonesia's cyber resilience.
