Liverpool's Offer For Alexander Isak Rejected By Newcastle: Far Below Rp3.3 Trillion

JAKARTA - Liverpool's offer to Alexander Isak has been rejected by Newcastle United. The reason was that the offer was far below the asking price of 150 million pounds (Rp3.2 trillion).

According to ESPN's report, Liverpool submitted the first proposal of 110 million pounds (Rp 2.3 trillion).

The Swedish National Team player was absent from Newcastle's tour of Asia, which the club said was caused by a minor thigh injury. Currently, he is recovering at his former club's training ground, Real Sociedad.

ESPN previously reported that Liverpool were interested in Isak despite signing striker Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt for up to 79 million pounds (Rp1.7 trillion).

Now Liverpool have made an offer for Isak even though Newcastle turned down the offer, maintaining the long-held stance that they want to keep the star.

Meanwhile, Isak is still absent from Newcastle's pre-season. He missed last weekend's game against Arsenal in Singapore and the match against the K-League XI team.

He will also not appear against Tottenham Hotspur in South Korea on Sunday, August 3, 2025.
