Ministry Of Social Affairs: 2,007 People's School Students Get Health Insurance Contribution Assistance As Of August
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Social Affairs ensures that as many as 2,007 People's School students receive support from the Health Insurance Contribution Assistance Program (PBI-JK) starting August 2025.
Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Saifullah Yusuf said the number of students had not previously received health insurance based on the results of verification from 9,705 students who had been received at 100 points of the first phase of the People's School throughout Indonesia.
"PBI-JK support is not only targeting students, but also their family members," said the Minister of Social Affairs as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, July 31.
That way, he continued, based on data as of August, the government will provide health insurance through PBI-JK as a whole, there are 8,067 new beneficiaries of this People's School program.

The Ministry of Social Affairs ensures that all recipients of the assistance have been verified double-based households and National Socio-Economic Integrated Data (DTSEN), where they are included in the lowest welfare group (desil 1 and 2).
Saifullah emphasized that verification steps are very important to ensure that People's School students not only get access to education, but their families also receive comprehensive health insurance as part of integrated social interventions.
"From here, it is also confirmed that those who are sick will be treated until they recover and are healthy, so they can carry out learning activities properly," he said.
