Just 5 Months Of Work, Store Employees Steal IDR 10 Million And Luxury Glasses

JAKARTA - A eyewear sales shop at Senen Market, Central Jakarta, was the target of theft allegedly carried out by the store employee.

The action was caught on CCTV cameras around the shop. Meanwhile, the alleged perpetrator with the initials TSN is known to have only worked for 5 months. The perpetrator is a woman from North Lampung, Lampung.

This theft was uncovered after the perpetrator suddenly applied for leave. Shortly thereafter, the lens vendor demanded payment for the transaction made on July 25.

According to AY, the shop owner, the perpetrator stole cash in stages for 10 days, from 15 to 25 July, with a total loss of IDR 10 million.

In addition, a store cell phone unit was also missing on the last day the perpetrator worked.

"He took a little money for 10 days. The shop's cellphone was also taken on July 25, the last day he came to work," he said.

Not only that, the perpetrator is also suspected of stealing a number of expensive glasses. The value of the losses from these items is estimated at tens of millions of rupiah.

"He just found out that he also took glasses. Because the price of the lens is the most expensive, Rp. 1.8 million, the cheapest is Rp. 1.2 million," he said.

The victim had tried to report the incident to the Senen Police. However, reports cannot be processed because they have to go through the summons first.

Head of Public Relations of the Central Jakarta Metro Police, Iptu Ruslan, said that regarding the incident, the victim had not made a police report regarding the incident.

"Not yet made LP. Evidence of support does not yet exist, the power of attorney is incomplete, stampai and TTD are authorized," he said.

Meanwhile, the incident has also gone viral on social media. In the news upload, it reads the caption "BOS KACAMATA AT MONDAY DISHISKAT KARYAWAN, JALAN HUKUM TERENDAT" on the Instagram account @wargajakarta.id.

Furthermore, Iptu Ruslan said the incident initially occurred on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at around 13.00 WIB. That afternoon, a man named Roy Iskandar came to the Senen Police SPKT to report one of the employees at the place where he worked at the M2 Store Pasar Senen block 1 & 2, suspected of embezzling glasses estimated at Rp. 10 million.

"Roy came with a power of attorney given by the shop owner Ayu Yudiyaningsih (AY). After being shown to the officer, the power of attorney did not have Roy Iskandar's signature as the recipient of the power of attorney," he said.

Then the Senen Police suggested correcting the power of attorney and bringing evidence of losses at Roy Iskandar's place of work.

"For this explanation, Roy Iskandar also understands and understands what needs to be prepared. At around 19.00 WIB, Roy came to the Senen Police Station to clarify his viralness on the citizen's Instagram account.id with the narration "CACAMATA BOSS IN MONDAY WAS RISKED BY EMPLOYEES, THE LOWEST LEGAL ROAD" which was viralized by SDri AYU YUDIYANIGSIH (the shop owner)," he explained.

For this incident, Roy also apologized to the Senen Police by making a testimonial and completing the shortcomings to make a report on the incident.
