Google Overcomes Google Play System Update Bugs On Android 16
JAKARTA Google has finally addressed a problem that has plagued Android 16 users for several weeks, where the Google Play System update failed to be installed. This problem, which causes the "Failed updating" message during the installation process, has been confirmed by Google and will be fixed in the upcoming update.
Many users, especially those using Pixel phones with Android 16 or Android beta version 16 QPR, reported that they were unable to successfully install the Google Play System update. Every time you try to update, the process will stop in the middle of the road and display error messages.
"I've been facing an update problem in my Pixel 9a which runs Android 16 for weeks, and it turns out I'm not the only one," said Adamya Sharma, a technology news writer who is also experiencing this problem.
"Initially I thought of it as a problem with a certain Play System update. However, as I considered resetting the full factory, I found that many other people who run Android 16 or build Android 16 QPR are having the same problem," he added.

Luckily, Google has acknowledged this problem. In the latest support article, Google states that it is aware of problems that prevent some Android 16 and Android 16 beta devices from installing the latest Google Play System updates. (Users can check this update in Settings > Security & Privacy > System & update > Google Play system update.)
The good news is that Google insists that there is no need to reset the factory on your phone. Improvements have been identified and will be included in the upcoming Google Play system update.
It is hoped that this problem will be resolved soon, allowing users to re-install the Play System update and get the latest upgrades, including those included in the July update.
