Morowali Regent Will Take ADVANTAGE Of PLTS To Resolve Electricity Crisis
JAKARTA - The Regent of Morowali, Iksan Baharudin Abdul Rauf. is said to be taking advantage of environmentally friendly energy in the form of Solar Power Plants (PLTS) as an effort to solve the problem of the electricity crisis.
This step is a long-term plan by involving investors in the construction process.
"In the future, according to information from the Regent, later there will be investors who will take part in preparing environmentally friendly plants, in this case, Solar Power Plant (PLTS) electricity and hopefully it will also support electricity in Menai Islands," said Head of PLN Morowali, Kadri in his statement quoted Wednesday, July 30.
The resolution of the problem of the electricity crisis is said to be a priority, especially in the archipelago, which has been experiencing energy constraints.
"He has been fighting for electricity problems in the islands since the beginning of his tenure. His focus on meeting electricity needs is enormous, both for mainland and archipelago," he said.
Kadri said the communication made by Regent Iksan with PLN, either through direct meetings or long-distance coordination, was very intense and showed high commitment.

For mainland areas, Iksan has coordinated with PLN to accelerate the normalization of electricity, one of which is through the initial lighting (energy) of the 150 kV Kolonedale High Voltage Air Line (SUTT) and the operation of the 150 kV Main Substation (GI).
As for the archipelago, Iksan has handed over generators for the people of Menui Islands. This generator is planned to start operating in the near future.
In addition, the Morowali Regency Government has also scheduled the addition of one more generator unit in August, as part of efforts to deliver 24-hour electricity services.
"This generator is a temporary solution related to the availability of electrical energy," said Kadri.
