Delayed, Drake Finally Officially Cancels Four Shows In Australia And New Zealand

JAKARTA - After five months, Canadian rapper Drake finally officially canceled his tour schedule in Australia and New Zealand, which had been delayed

In February, the 38-year-old rapper toured Australia and New Zealand for the first time since the last eight years.

He is scheduled to appear in 16 shows with tickets completely sold out. However, after undergoing 12 shows, he postponed four remaining shows in Brisbane, Sydney, and Auckland due to clashes with other schedules.

At the time, Drake's representative said his party was trying to reschedule the remaining four shows, adding at the same time several other shows.

But for now, the hopes of fans still holding tickets seem to have disappeared, as an official statement has been announced.

"Although hard efforts have been made to find a solution, rescheduling within the necessary period is not possible," read a statement by Live Nation Australia as promoter, quoted by NME, Wednesday, July 30.

"Drake remains committed to returning and presenting these shows when the schedule allows," he continued.

On the other hand, Drake started a special $ongs 4 UK tour at Utilita Arena, Birmingham on July 20. However, he canceled a show at the Co-op Live Arena, Manchester, which was scheduled for July 27, after previously appearing in two shows there.

The cancellation of the performance in Manchester was called due to travel logistics problems.
