Twitter Founder's BitChat Application Now Available On App Store

JAKARTA Early last July, Jack Dorsey introduced a message application with Bluetooth support called BitChat. After being tested for several weeks, the application is now officially launched.

BitChat is now available on the App Store as an open-source messaging app. As the Twitter and Bluesky founders explained some time ago, BitChat was designed to communicate without requiring an internet connection.

The idea is quite intelligent because users only need to be at a close distance to communicate. This application adopts a peer-to-peer system that can already be found in other applications, but with better privacy.

BitChat is designed as an application without a server or account. This application also does not collect user data. That way, users don't have to worry about the data or the content of the conversation leaking when communicating with other people.

BitChat also provides end-to-end encryption to strengthen the security of its platform. To use this app, users need to have a username first. This username will be randomly accepted, but adaptable.

If so, users only need to shift the screen to the left or tap the 'User' icon to view the contact list. On the list, users will see affordable usernames on peer-to-peer networks.

The availability of this application varies in several countries. If you've downloaded the app and realized the bug in the app, you don't have to worry because Dorsey is submitting a fix to Apple.
