Macau Open 2025: Indonesia Sends 16 Representatives

JAKARTA Indonesia has deployed a total of 16 representatives at the Macau Open 2025, the Super 300 BWF level tournament which was held this week.

The Macau Open 2025 will take place from Tuesday, July 29 to August 3, 2025 at the Macau East Asian Games Dome. This event provides a prize of 240 thousand US dollars or Rp3.9 billion.

Mixed doubles are the sector with the most representatives in the tournament. The number sent five pairs, followed by a men's singles and doubles of four representatives each, then a women's doubles of two representatives, and a women's singles with one representative.

One of the mixed doubles that played was Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja. This is Rehan/Gloria's third tournament in three consecutive weeks.

Before taking part at the Macau Open 2025, the couple played at the Japan Open and China Open 2025. In a row, there they stopped in the second and quarter-finals.

In Macau, they will go down with Adnan Maulana/Indah Cahya Sari Jamil, Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Minister, Bobby Setiabudi/Melati Daeva Oktavianti, and Amri Syahnawi/Nita Violina Marwah.

Then from the men's doubles, the couples sent were Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Mohammad Reza Pahlevi Isfahani, Rahmat Hidayat/Yeremia Rambitan, Raymond Indra/Nikolaus Joaquin, and Muhammad Putra Erwusyah/Daniel Edgarlo.

In the men's singles, Alwi Farhan also came down after playing in Japan and the 2025 China Open. He will appear with Mohamma Zaki Ubaidillah, Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo, and Yohanes Saut Marcellyno who will start the journey from qualifying.

Ubaidillah appeared in this event after becoming the champion at the 2025 Badminton Asia Junior Championship (BAJC) which took place at the Mahanan Indoor GOR Solo, Central Java.

The two representatives in the women's doubles are the pair Apriyani Rahayu/Febi Setianingrum and Meilysa Trias Puspitasari/Rachel Alllessya Rose.

Finally, the only single woman who entered the Indonesian squad was Komang Ayu Cahya Dewi. Previously, the name Ester Nurumi Tri Wardoyo was on the list, but it did not appear after the manager meeting.
