TNI Members Stabbed In Blok M Entertainment Place, Police Arrest Perpetrators In East Jakarta

JAKARTA The stabbing incident occurred at an entertainment venue in Blok M area, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Sunday, July 27, 2025, in the early hours of the morning. A man with the initials RU stabbed a TNI member with the initials RR up to 13 times in the parking area of the entertainment venue.

The incident began when the police received reports from the public regarding the abuse around the nightclub location. The team from the South Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim Resmob Unit immediately moved to the crime scene (TKP) to conduct an initial investigation.

"We immediately processed the crime scene, secured the victim, and asked for information from four witnesses at the location," said Head of Resmob South Jakarta Police AKP Bima Sakti in his statement to reporters, Monday, July 28.

The victim, who suffered a stab wound, was immediately rushed to Fatmawati Hospital for medical treatment. It was later discovered that the victim was an active TNI member. From the results of the examination, the victim suffered 13 stab wounds. Until now, he is still in intensive care at the hospital.

The police investigated the incident by examining three locations related to the incident: areas in entertainment venues, interaction points for victims and perpetrators, as well as parking locations where the stabbing occurred.

Based on the results of the investigation and witness testimony, the police finally managed to identify the perpetrators. RU was arrested at his residence in East Jakarta on Sunday night, just hours after the incident.

"The perpetrator was arrested without a fight and was cooperative when he was arrested at his home," said Bima.

The evidence that was also secured included the victim's clothes. Meanwhile, the motive for the stabbing is still under further investigation by the police.

For his actions, RU was charged with Article 170 of the Criminal Code regarding the criminal act of beating and Article 351 of the Criminal Code concerning persecution, with a maximum penalty of five years in prison.
