PM Anwar Arrives In Jakarta To Meet Prabowo After Thailand-Kamboja 'amaikan'

JAKARTA - Malaysian Prime Minister (PM) Anwar Ibrahim arrived at the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base (Lanud), Jakarta, Monday night, to start a series of working visits until Tuesday (29/7).

In Jakarta, President Prabowo and PM Anwar will meet at the 13th Annual Consultation event of Indonesia and Malaysia, which is also filled with the signing of four memorandums of understanding (MoU) of cooperation related to land borders, and cooperation in the fields of health, technology, and communication.

The arrival of PM Anwar at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base at around 20.00 WIB was welcomed by two ministers of the Red and White Cabinet, namely the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian and the Minister of Foreign Affairs (Menlu) Sugiono. Then, there is also the Deputy Governor (Deputy Governor) of DKI Jakarta Rano Karno.

Right below the flight steps, PM Anwar immediately greeted the Minister of Home Affairs Tito, guided by the Head of State Protocol Andy Rachmianto, then Anwar continued to greet Foreign Minister Sugiono and Deputy Governor Rano Karno.

After greeting, Anwar Ibrahim walked down the blue carpet, and on the right and left sides, the ranks of honor paid their respects to the Malaysian Prime Minister.

After the welcoming procession, PM Anwar entered the vehicle, but before that he had a short chat with the Minister of Home Affairs Tito and Foreign Minister Sugiono.

Then, PM Anwar and the convoy of voojrider left Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base and continued their journey.

PM Anwar may be heading to President Prabowo's private residence on Jalan Kertanegara Number 4, South Jakarta. In Kertanegara, President Prabowo will host PM Anwar for dinner.

PM Anwar's main agenda for the visit to Jakarta is scheduled to take place at the Merdeka Palace on Tuesday morning.

At the Merdeka Palace, PM Anwar will be accompanied by his ministers, namely Foreign Minister Mohamad Hasan, Minister of Home Affairs Saifuddin Nasution, Minister of Investment, Trade, and Industry Tengku Zafrul Aziz, and Minister of Education Fadhlina Sidek. Then, there is also the Head of Sarawak Abang State Johari Openg and state officials Sabah Hajiji Noor.
