Hurricane Responds To Sammy Simorangkir's Testimony Asked For IDR 5 Million Every Time He Performs Kerispatih Song
Doadiadai Hollo alias Hurricane ex Kerispatih responded to Sammy Simorangkir's testimony in a judicial review hearing of the Copyright Law which took place at the Constitutional Court last week.
The musician who is also the administrator of the All-Indonesian Composite Association (AKSI) highlighted Sammy's statement claiming to be prohibited from performing the song Kerispatih except for paying Rp5 million for each song in one show.
"If you say that the Rp5 million was asked for money, the person concerned spoke verbally" and that was requested by our management at that time, "said Badai at a press conference in Cipete, South Jakarta, Monday, July 28.
"Now I just ask, has the person concerned ever paid to our management first? If I never felt that there was a provision and a value of payment there," he added.
Hurricane said that the ban that was carried out at that time had to be taken because Kerispatih as a band was still active on the music stage, while Sammy on the other hand had chosen to be solo in his career.
"What I remember, we did forbid it because the person concerned had left Kerispatih. Yes, just walk to his solos," said the man who calls himself Theria Man.
"As far as I know, at that time the provisions were like that," he said.

Furthermore, Badai was confused by Sammy's testimony before the constitutional panel of judges. The reason is, the Batak-blooded singer once stated that she no longer needed her songs.
"When he said it like that, I was a bit sad. I'm not confused or baper, I'm just confused. He once told me 'if I'm not mistaken'. He once told me that 'I don't need your song.' Yes, if you don't need it, why bring it?' he said.
For information, Sammy Simorangkir was expelled from Kerispatih in 2010, after his involvement in drug abuse cases. A year later, he released his debut album with the title "I'm Back".
Meanwhile, Badai left Kerispatih in 2016, and then chose a solo career, in addition to his busy schedule as a songwriter.
