Lando Norris Will Start Leading At F1 Belgian GP 2025

JAKARTA - McLaren's Lando Norris has won pole for the 2025 Belgian GP Formula 1 race. He recorded the fastest time in the Qualification session at the Spa-Francorchamps Circuit, Saturday, July 26, 2025, WIB night.

The second position is filled by his teammate, Oscar Piastri, and Scuderia Ferrari driver, Charles Leclerc in third place.

Norris started the Qualification session 1 (Q1) by being at the forefront with a time of one minute 41.010 seconds.

Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton has been surprisingly eliminated in this session after his last score was removed for breaking track limits.

Apart from Hamilton, the other four riders who died in Q1 were Franco Colapinto (Alpine), Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes), and Aston Martin duo, namely Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll.

In Q2, Oscar Piastri became the leader with the fastest time of one minute 40,626 seconds, winning 0.089 seconds from Norris in second.

Carlos Sainz Jr (Williams), Nico Hulkenberg (Sauber), Pierre Gasly (Alpine), as well as Oliver Bearman, and Esteban Ocon from Haas were eliminated in the Q2 session.

In the Q3 session, Norris again became the fastest with a time of one minute 40.562 seconds, ahead of the Piastri which was 0.085 seconds slower.

The third position is occupied by Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) with a time of one minute 40.900 seconds.

Max Verstappen (Red Bull) who won the Sprint Race will start the race from the fourth grid after losing 0.003 seconds behind Leclerc.

Alexander Albon (Williams) surprisingly took fifth place with one minute 41.201 seconds, followed by George Russell (Mercedes) with one minute 41.260 seconds.

Then there is Yuki Tsunoda (Red Bull) in seventh place with a time of 41.284 seconds, followed by the Racing Bulls duo, Isack Hadjar and Liam Lawson. Gabriel Bortoleto from Sauber completed the top 10.

Meanwhile, the main F1 GP Belgium 2025 race will take place on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at 20.00 WIB.
