Fornas VIII 2025 Is Expected To Print Potential Esports Athletes

JAKARTA The VIII 2025 National Community Sports Festival (Fornas) in West Nusa Tenggara is expected to be able to produce national esports athletes who can make Indonesia proud in international events.

Officially, the Fornas Indonesia e-Sports Association (IESPA) was opened by the Deputy Governor of NTB, Indah Dhamayanti Putri, S.E., M.IP., on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the Mataram State Islamic University (UIN) Campus II Auditorium.

On that occasion, Indah, who was accompanied by the Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, hoped that the momentum of the Fornas VIII 2025 would be an opportunity for esports athletes to learn as well as possible.

"We are here to motivate the generation that we will place the struggle relay. They compete, learn, hone their abilities, and continue to strive to create sportsmanship in every moment," he said.

IESPA is one of the Main Sports Organizations (Inorga) which was also contested at the Fornas VIII 2025 in NTB. In total, this event was attended by contingents from 28 provinces throughout Indonesia.

Several leading teams that had previously appeared in various national and international events also took part in the biennial event.

"The Governor expressed his pride that West Nusa Tenggara was allowed to host Fornas VIII in 2025," said Indah.

Furthermore, Indah also entrusted hope to all organizing committees in NTB so that they can organize this activity well, become friendly, and memorable hosts for all contingents.

He encouraged the presence of participants in NTB not only to be the first and last visit, but also to a pleasant experience and always missed to come back.

"To all people of West Nusa Tenggara, I hope to ensure that this activity runs safely, smoothly, and gives a deep impression, and satisfies all teams present from each province," he said.
