Preventing Candidate Practices, ASDP Requires Ticket Reservation Service Users Via Ferizy

JAKARTA - PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) continues to strive to provide a clean crossing service from brokering practices.

One of the steps is to require service users to make online ferry ticket reservations through the application and the official Ferizy website.

ASDP President Director Heru Widodo explained that the digital Ferizy system has been implemented since 2020 to provide transparency, ease of access, and data integration between service users and operators.

With this reservation system, all transactions are recorded and verified. This not only increases service efficiency, but also protects service users from the risk of illegal transactions such as brokers," Heru said in an official statement, Friday, July 25.

Heru assessed that the implementation of the Ferizy online ticket system was increasingly relevant after the sinking of KMP Tunu Pratama Jaya, owned by private operators in the Bali Strait on July 2, 2025.

He said the manifest was a document used as a basis for legal protection and insurance claims in an emergency.

"Therefore, all passenger data must be filled in properly and according to the original identity. Passengers who buy tickets through brokers or use fictitious data are not registered in the manifest and lose their right to insurance," said Heru.

Heru said it was important to understand that the Ferizy system only recorded data as inputted by service users.

"The final responsibility for the accuracy of passenger and vehicle data remains with the operator of the ship and the passenger concerned," he explained.

He said the company was committed to continuing to improve service quality, starting from digitizing ticket systems, validating manifests, structuring port areas, to educating service users to understand the importance of buying official tickets and including valid identities.

Selain itu, ASDP juga memperkuat kolaborasi dengan aparat kepolisian, KSOP, dan otoritas pelabuhan dalam memperketat pengawasan praktik percaloan.

“Langkah ini penting untuk menjaga ketertiban di pelabuhan dan memastikan semua pengguna jasa dilayani secara adil dan profesional,” katanya.

In addition, ASDP also strengthens collaboration with police, KSOP, and port authorities in tightening supervision of brokering practices.

"This step is important to maintain order at the port and ensure all service users are served fairly and professionally," he said.
