Gasak Rp50 Million After Stabbing The Shop Owner, The Robber In Ternate Was Hunted By The Police

The police are hunting for the perpetrator of the theft accompanied by violence against a victim who owns the Al-Nizam Shop named Siswanto Domili (30) in Gamalama Village, Central Ternate District, Ternate City, North Maluku (Malut), on Friday, July 25 in the morning.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Ternate Police, AKP Bakry Syahruddin, said that it was suspected that the perpetrator was one person with a sharp weapon. In addition to stabbing the victim, the shop owner also stole around Rp. 50 million in cash.

He explained that the chronology of the incident began when Siswanto's wife, Nurain Abdullah (26) heard suspicious footsteps from the three floors of the shop. Then Siswanto was about to check the sound of the leg, but suddenly the perpetrator immediately attacked with a sharp knife and hit the victim, resulting in serious injuries.

At the time of the incident, the victim's wife, Nurain Abdullah, was on the second floor of the shop, visited by the perpetrator by threatening and asking for all the money in the shop.

"In a threatening condition, the victim's wife finally handed over Rp50 million so that their lives would not be threatened," said Bakry.

According to the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, the perpetrator then forced the victim's wife to remain silent and did not ask for help until around 02.00 WIT so that the perpetrator could escape.

After the perpetrator left, the victim's wife immediately asked for help from local residents, while the victim Siswanto, who was injured by the new two, was also taken to the Army Hospital in Gamalama Village.

Bakry explained that a number of witnesses, including the families of the victims named Rian Domili and Umar, helped evacuate the victims from the second floor to an ambulance to be taken to the hospital.

"They admitted that they did not dare to chase the perpetrator, who at that time was suspected of hiding on the third floor of the shop," said Bakry.

Another witness, Farida Eato, also revealed that he was contacted by the victim's wife via WhatsApp shortly after the incident. He went straight to the location of the already crowded Al Nizam Shop, while the victim had been taken to the hospital.

Bakry said the Ternate Police Criminal Investigation Team together with the Identification and Resmob Unit had conducted a crime scene (TKP), and interrogated witnesses, as well as coordinated with the victim's family.

"Investigative steps are still ongoing, we focus on finding the perpetrators and ensuring security in the surrounding environment," said Bakry.

Therefore, he said, the Ternate Police appealed to the public, especially those who live and work in shops or places of business, to increase vigilance and tighten security systems.
