Not In Accordance With The Permit, Pakistani Foreigners Were Dragged To The Legal Process In Banda Aceh

ACEH - The Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration Aceh emphasized that it is still processing the law of a foreign national (WNA) from Pakistan with the initials MA, who was proven to have abused his residence permit in Indonesian territory.

"It has been pro justitia, and a case has been held at the Banda Aceh Immigration Office," said Head of the Aceh Immigration Office Tato Juliadin Hidayawan in Meulaboh, Antara, Friday, July 25.

The tattoo said the legal process was carried out because the Supreme Court violated the time limit for the residence permit that had been granted.

In this case, the Supreme Court is suspected of violating Article 122 letter (a) of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration, which regulates the prohibition of misuse of residence permits. He is also suspected of violating Article 126 letter (c) in the same law, related to the provision of data or false information to obtain immigration documents.

The case title for this case was carried out by the Banda Aceh Immigration Civil Servant Investigator (PPNS) a few days ago. The activity was also attended by various stakeholders, including criminal experts from universities in Banda Aceh.

The tattoo confirms that it will not tolerate the abuse of residence permits or other violations of the law by foreigners in the Aceh Immigration working area.

"Immigration is committed not to provide space for the practice of misuse of residence permits or other violations of the law by foreigners," he said.

He added that immigration law enforcement will continue to be strengthened through cross-sectoral collaboration as a form of maintaining state sovereignty.
