The First Person To Enter Islam In The Age Of The Prophet Muhammad SAW
YOGYAKARTA - In the first period, Rasulullah SAW secretly spread da'wah in the family environment by inviting him to leave his place of worship and worship only to Allah SWT. The Prophet first conveyed Islam to those closest to him. So who was the first to convert to Islam?
Quoted from the book History of Da'wah by Drs. Samsul Munir Amin, MA, the da'wah period lasted secretly for three years and he succeeded in inviting Khadijah, Ali bin Abi Talib, Zaid bin Haritsah and Abu Bakar Ash-Shiddiq.
Furthermore, through Abu Bakar, several people also joined Islam, including Utsman bin Affan, Zubair bin Awam, Abdurrahman bin Auf, Sa'ad bin Abi Waqash and Thalhah bin Ubaidillah.
Here are the five lists of the first people to convert to Islam:
Ath-Thabari wrote in his book, Muhammad in Makkah, the first man to believe in the Prophet Muhammad SAW was Ali bin Abi Talib. Ath Thabrani revealed an explanation from Abu Kuraib, from Ubaid bin Sa'id, from Syu'bah from Amr bin Murrah, from Hamzah (a man from you Anshar), from Zaid bin Arqam who said: The person who first prayed with Rasulullah SAW was Ali.
Meanwhile, from Ahmad bin al-Hasan at-Tirmidzi, from Ubaidillah bin Musa from al-'Al', from al-Minhal bin Amr, from Abbad bin Abdullah who said: I heard Ali said, "I am the servant of Allah and the brother of His Prophet, and I am the most mentioned honest person (ash-shdiq al-akbar). No one has ever said that I am a liar and a decision maker who is not right. I prayed with the Prophetullah SAW, seven years before someone else did it.
In the Nabawiyah Sirah written by Syaikh Shafiyar Rahman al-Mubarakpuri, Khadijah is also classified as the first person and believes that her husband has been chosen as a prophet and a Prophet of Allah SWT. As the wife of the Prophet, Khadijah understands more than others that Muhammad SAW is not an ordinary man.
Budi, a noble preacher of the Prophet and his gentle nature, became his distinction from those around him. Khadijah has also heard the talk about the last SWT messenger soon to emerge.
In addition, Khadijah was also a witness when the letter of al-Muddatstsir was revealed. Therefore, Khadijah was the first person to believe in Allah SWT and convert to Islam.
Ibrahim Al-Quraibi in Tarik Khulafa explained, according to Ibnu Ishaq when Abu Bakar entered Islam, he showed his Islam and invited him to Allah's religion. Abu Bakar is a person loved by his people, respected and generous. He is the Quraish who understands the fate of his people, knows the condition of his people, and the good and bad things they have. Abu Bakar is also known as a rich man and has commendable morals.
Ath Thabari also explained that the first person to believe in Allah and follow the Prophet Muhammad SAW was Zaid bin Haritsah, a servant of the Prophet.
In Sirah Nabawiyah's book, it is written that Zaid refuses to leave the Prophet Muhammad when his family tries to buy his freedom.

Quoted from the book Abdul Syukur Al-Azizi entitled Utsman bin Affan Ra, Utsman bin Affan was born in the midst of a noble and influential family of the Quraish Silsilah Tribe of Bani Umaiyah. Utsman bin Affan received the title of the only one from the Prophet Muhammad SAW, namely Dzun Nurain, which means the owner of two lights. He was given this title because no one since the Prophet Adam AS until the day of the apocalypse had married the two daughters of the Prophet Muhammad SAW other than Utsman bin Affan.
