The purpose of holding this audition was to find members for the new NCT sub-unit, NCT Hollywood. Currently, the NCT group has four permanent sub-units namely NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream, and WayV.
For NCT Hollywood, they will recruit male members aged 13-25 years. Those selected will take part in a bootcamp training in Seoul and NCT members are projected to help as mentors and judges.
Since it was first released, this news has become a furore on the internet. Fans regret this step while according to them NCT as a group has not been counted as stable in terms of sales and popularity.
"NCT Hollywood creates an unpleasant energy," said one netizen via Twitter.
“NCT Hollywood? Audition looking for members again. Why can't NCT Dream, 127, WayV just get promoted to the United States? They deserve it. SM is weird. "
“NCT Hollywood? How about NCT Japan first? "
It is known that NCT welcomes new members: Sungchan and Shotaro in 2020 and promotes through RESONANCE Pt. 1. The word NCT Hollywood is still sitting on trending social media topics. What do you think?
