Reconstruction Of Murder In Beriga, Central Bangka, 25 Scenes Shown By Suspects

JAKARTA - The Central Bangka Resort Police, Bangka Belitung Islands Province (Babel), held a reconstruction of the murder case that occurred in Batu Beriga Village, Lubuk Besar District, by presenting a suspect with the initials T (21).

Head of the Central Bangka Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Iptu Imam Setiawan, said the reconstruction was carried out to clarify the chronology of the murder incident of the victim Yogi (21), which was demonstrated in 25 scenes.

The reconstruction, which presented four witnesses, revealed the bloody incident that occurred on Friday, July 11 afternoon, stemming from a verbal altercation between the perpetrator and the victim in front of the attached machine storage warehouse, Gang Buton, Batu Beriga Village.

"Initially the victim sat down with several of his friends. Not long after, the perpetrator came and there was a verbal altercation. The victim then hit the perpetrator," explained Imam.

Not accepting, the perpetrator came home to take a knife. He then returned to the location and immediately stabbed a knife into the victim's stomach. The victim fought back and struggled with the perpetrator, but the perpetrator again stabbed a knife into the victim's back while grappling.

According to Imam, this reconstruction is an important part of the investigation process that will be used by the prosecutor to prepare the indictment and judges in assessing the case.

"The reconstruction aims to rebuild the concrete picture of a criminal act so that the material truth is clearer and can be tested legally," said Imam.
