Illegal Parking At The HI Roundabout Pegged At Rp10 Thousand, Pramono Falls Satpol PP

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung responded to public complaints regarding the presence of illegal parking attendants in the HI Roundabout area, Central Jakarta, which set tariffs of up to IDR 10,000 for motorcycles.

Pramono admitted that he would deploy Satpol PP officers to supervise and regulate the practice of illegal parking.

"I will immediately deploy the Satpol PP there," said Pramono when met in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, Thursday, July 24.

Pramono thanked the residents who had made the illegal parking levies used by a handful of these individuals, so that the DKI Provincial Government could find out and immediately follow up on the settlement.

"We are not people who then shut down that Jakarta is still lacking a lot. Yes, for sure, because serving 11 (million people in Jakarta) added 4 million people (residents of buffer areas who are active in Jakarta, 15 million, it is not an easy problem," said Pramono.

"But what is clear is that we want all this information, and we will work on it," he added.

Previously, it was reported that thuggery in the mode of illegal parking attendants (jukir) was again rampant in the HI Roundabout area, Menteng, Central Jakarta. They often act at night.

Even the perpetrators are not half-hearted when in action, they often ask for parking fees of Rp. 10 thousand motorcyclists.

This incident was revealed after one of the female motorists was about to park, but the thugs had asked for a parking fee of Rp. 10 thousand.

"He asked for parking money, we just asked for parking money because he wanted to go home. So he asked for parking money. We mean it's okay to pay for parking but take care of it first, we just got off the motorbike, not wearing a helmet," said the female motorcyclist in the video. , Thursday, July 24, 2025.

The perpetrator asked for Rp10 thousand for illegal parking fees first to the motorcyclist because he wanted to go home. This made the motorists furious until they finally recorded and insulted the perpetrators' actions.

"So he asked for parking money. We mean that it's okay to pay for parking neatly, take care of it first, we just got off the motorbike, not still wearing a helmet. Just a coffee shop. It happened around HI," he said.
