In Front Of Pramono, PPATK Reveals 600,000 Jakarta Residents Playing Online Gambling
JAKARTA - Head of the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) Ivan Yustiavandana revealed data on more than 600,000 Jakarta residents playing online gambling.
Jakarta, continued Ivan, is the province with the largest number and transactions of online gambling games in Jakarta.
This was revealed by Ivan in front of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung at the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and the PPATK and the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) in 2025.
"When talking about online gambling, the most are DKI Jakarta, sir. Earlier you asked, how many online gambling players? That's only 600 thousand online gambling players in DKI Jakarta, only in DKI Jakarta," said Ivan at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday, July 23.
In listing PPATK, online gambling deposit transactions in Jakarta in the past year reached more than IDR 3 trillion with 17.5 million transactions.
"It's just a deposit, you're a resident and I'm sorry, there are also internal kinds of things," said Ivan.

Therefore, Ivan emphasized that the government needs to pay great attention and mobilize resources to eradicate online gambling practices in Indonesia.
"Not to mention we are talking about narcotics, not to mention corruption, not to mention talking about illegal logging actors in areas that then wash them in Jakarta and all kinds of areas," he explained.
