Undergoing An Examination, Jokowi Is Willing To Confiscate His Certificate
JAKARTA - The 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is said to be willing if his diploma is confiscated for the purposes of the investigation into the alleged defamation case being handled by the Polda Metro Jaya.
This was conveyed by his attorney, Firmanto Laksana while accompanying the investigation process which took place at the Solo Police, Central Java.
"Of course, of course (willing to be temporarily confiscated)," said Firmanto to reporters, Wednesday, July 23.
According to him, Jokowi consistently stated that his diploma was willing to be confiscated if it was for the sake of the law enforcement process.
It is known, during the examination process, Jokowi brought several documents, some of which included elementary school (SD)-level diplomas to strata 1 (S1) Faculty of Forestry Universita Gajah Mada (UGM).
"Mr. (Jokowi) has consistently been committed from the start and continues to convey that if the diploma is used for law enforcement by law enforcement, including the police, and later it may also be used by the court fi, it will be handed over," he said.
Of course, the handover or confiscation of diplomas must be carried out according to the mechanism according to the rules. So, it can be accounted for.
"And of course the mechanism is in accordance with existing regulations," said Firmanto.

Previously reported, Polda Metro Jaya stated that the alleged defamation case related to allegations of fake diplomas reported by the 7th President, Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has been upgraded to the investigation stage.
The decision to increase the status of the case is based on the results of a case conducted by the State Security Sub-Directorate (Kamneg) on Thursday, July 10.
"Based on the title of the case last night, the first police report was that the reporter was a brother of an HJW engineer, in the investigation process that had been carried out in the case title, it was concluded that an alleged criminal incident was found so that the case was upgraded to the investigation stage," said Ade.
