The 2025 Padel League SIP Presents, Answering The Increasingly Massive Popularity Of Padel

JAKARTA - The Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora), Dito Ariotedjo, welcomed the start of the inter-community padel league titled BRImo SIP Padel League 2025 which was held by the SIP Sports Club.

This was conveyed by Dito when he was present at the opening ceremony of the competition which took place at the Smash Padel, TB Simatupang, South Jakarta, on Sunday, July 20, 2025.

"I am very happy because this league is a bit serious, implemented for 15 weeks, the league system, and there are 32 participating communities," Dito told the media.

Currently, the popularity of padel in the world is massive and fast. So, it is possible that this sport can be immediately competed in big sporting events such as the Olympics.

Dito said that his party and relevant stakeholders must immediately prepare athletes so that at any time this sport is contested at a multi-event sporting event, Indonesia is ready to compete.

"So, we want to pick up the ball and prepare potential athletes. So, later if it is in multi-events, hopefully we will become superior like badminton," he said.

Meanwhile, the Project Manager of SIP Sports Club, Adit Dwi, as the competition operator emphasized the spirit of togetherness carried in this competition.

"This league focuses on community, competition and connection. We believe every community deserves to appear and show off on the big stage," said Adit.

The opening ceremony was marked by the first wave of Menpora Dito Ariotedjo (Minister of Youth and Sports), Secretary General of PBPI Jakarta Stephen Sulangangang, Network & Retail Funding Director of BRI Aquarius Rudianto Commercial Director of Goers Ranggaz Laksmana, and General Manager of Champion Darmawan.

The BRImo SIP Padel League 2025 competition will take place in a fierce competition for 15 weeks. The matches are held every ahad in various leading padel venues in Jakarta, such as SmashPadel and Republic Padel.

The competition format consists of five parties in each meeting between communities, namely three men's doubles, one women's doubles, and one mixed double.

The competition is divided into three phases. In the league phase, 32 communities will be divided into two groups. The top eight teams from each group will advance to the knockout phase.

The entire series will culminate at the BRImo SIP Pedel Festival 2025 which will be held on November 15-16, 2025.

The festival will be enlivened with celebrity exhibition matches, challenges against professional athletes, coaching clinics, DJ performances, as well as various culinary booths, brands, and community activities.
