Daniel Caesar Leaks New Album To Be Released This Year

JAKARTA - Canadian R&B singer Daniel Caesar leaked his new album plans to fans. The leak was shared through a video uploaded to his social media account.

In the description of the upload, the 30-year-old singers leaked their latest album which will be titled 'Son of Spergy', which will be released in 2025.

In the video, Caesar manages a long statement, which contains his personal experience which is the background of the upcoming album.

"I'm trying to write a letter to announce this album, but I want the letter to be meaningful and intelligent. I have a hidden desire to think about it and reveal something I haven't thought of before," Caesar said, citing his statement, Sunday, July 20.

"When I was a child, every time my father was disappointed with me or felt I needed motivation (or he wanted me to understand it, which at that time I didn't understand), he would tell the story of his origins that were carefully curated but real," continued Ceaser. "He will tell about the heyday of the Jamaican tourism industry and how he sang dinner music at Doctor's Cave Beach for foreigners from around the world.

The Always singer continues his story, citing one of his father's advice 'warning about the dangers this world has to offer, which seems fun but actually quickly passes.

Being young is very interesting because how many times should a person hear good advice before it becomes clich? We hate the clich of our parents until we become clichs. Now I am a news anchor, everything I used to refuse to trust," said Caesar.

"I was now my father's age when she gave birth to me, and I felt embarrassed because I thought I was much smarter than her; because I went to Canada and I was able to draw up sentences more fluent than her. That's the essence of culture here (other classics), we constantly equate intelligence with wisdom."

He continued, "Recently I have come to a point where I realize no one will ever think of anything that has never been thought of before, nor will anyone try something that has never been tried before. Everything is a waste. Family is everything. Honestly and frankly in your life. Never forget that God is the only eternal benchmark for morality. I am nothing, but in my flesh I am Spergy's Son, and in my spirit I belong to God."

In the narration video, Caesar marks the names of several musicians who appear to be involved in the new album, namely Bon Iver, Clairo, Dev Hynes, Sampha, Rex Orange County, and 646yf4t, who are suspected of being the album collaborators.

However, there is no further information regarding the release date of the album and the songs in it.
