KAI Appreciates West Jakarta Prosecutor's Office For Arresting DPO Cases Of Persecution

JAKARTA - West Jakarta Youth Leader and Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Advodkat Congress (KAI), Umar Abdul Aziz, appreciated the performance of the West Jakarta Kejari who had arrested the DPO of the persecution case.

"This is proof that the West Jakarta Kejari continues to pursue the perpetrators who have escaped from legal bondage," said Umar, Sunday, July 20, 202.

Umar said this was a good step and legal certainty was right for what the West Jakarta Kejari had done by continuing to enforce the law and pursue the suspect in the assault.

"Many cases have been revealed by the Kejari to the court indiscriminately. With the trend of law enforcement by the West Jakarta Kejari, it is hoped that no one will try to fight the law in the West Jakarta area, either criminally or civilly," he said.

Umar hopes that the West Jakarta Kejari will always provide examples of proportional law enforcement without discrimination, and indiscriminately. According to him, the arrest of this DPO for persecution is quite fun and satisfying for the public regarding the implementation of law enforcement, especially from the prosecutor's office.

Not only that, Umar also appreciated the Prosecutor's program to greet the public with the Gen Z target that had been carried out in high school with legal counseling related to corruption and bullying and punishment.

"That way students or Gen Z generations can understand what punishments and actions that can be snared by law," he said.

As is known, the Intelligence Team together with the West Jakarta District Attorney's General Crime Team have just succeeded in arresting the convict on behalf of Usman who was included in the People's Wanted List (DPO).

Head of the West Jakarta District Attorney's Office, Hendri Antoro, said that previously Usman had been legally proven guilty and was believed to have committed a criminal act of persecution.

"The person concerned was sentenced to imprisonment for 1 (one) year based on the decision of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 431K/Pid/2025 dated March 18, 2025 Jo. Decision of PT Jakarta Number: 272/PID/2024/PT DKI dated November 28, 2024 Jo. West Jakarta District Court Decision Number: 620/Pid.B/2024/PN Jkt.Brt dated October 24, 2024," explained Hendri, Saturday, July 18, 2025.

Hendri explained that although he had fought back, in the end he accepted the execution process carried out by the Prosecutor's Office of the West Jakarta District Attorney.

"Furthermore, the convict was immediately taken and handed over to the Class IIA Salemba Jakarta Prison to undergo a court decision that has permanent legal force," explained Hendri.
