Adib conveyed that the proposed fulfillment of education costs from the central government and local governments includes the cost of providing facilities and infrastructure, the cost of educators and education and operational costs and maintenance of buildings and facilities.
Previously, the Chairman of the Special Committee (Pansus) of the Ranperda for the Education Implementation of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Muhammad Subki, said that madrasas should also be free because students at the institution are residents of Jakarta.
According to him, to create free madrasas, synchronization is needed in the discussion of the Draft Regional Regulation (Ranperda) for the Implementation of Education.
Subki said that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) should not only focus on making elementary, junior high, high school and vocational levels free. However, it is also necessary to prioritize Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, Tsanawiyah and Aliyah schools.
This is because everything related to education must be considered. That way, there is no inequality and causes jealousy between educational institutions.
