Inul Daratista Banned From Concerts In Malaysia In History Today, 19 July 2008

JAKARTA History today, 17 years ago, July 19, 2008, dangdut singer Inul Daratista was prohibited from holding concerts in Malaysia. The ban originated from an unissued event permit. Inul is believed to have a negative image and does not match Islamic countries such as Malaysia.

Previously, Inul's career as a dangdut singer began to be lifted as his performance video spread throughout the country. Goyangngebor pun became the main attraction. This condition flooded Inul's gig schedule.

The appearance of singers from the viral route is not just the monopoly of the current era. Take, for example, Ainur Rokhimah or Inul Daratista. Inul once went viral at a time not through social media. Inul actually went viral because the video sang and spread everywhere.

Inul's distinctive features of his wobbling, known as the wobbling, became his main attraction. The narrative made people curious about Inul. The mass media began to be interested in signing Inul. This position makes the record label come to offer an album contract.

Inul finally entered the recording in 2003. SongGoyangInuljadi mainstay. The song was confirmed that Inul had entered the Indonesian music scene. As a result, Inul began to be accepted by various groups. He became the most talked about singer. The gig schedule is tight.

In fact, the schedule for performing abroad is like the Netherlands. However, that doesn't mean Inul's popularity doesn't invite problems. Inul's seesaw action is considered too erotic. This condition made Inul's concert a lot criticized.

The dangdut king, Rhoma Irama, also criticized Inul. Rhoma considers Inul too vulgar and has damaged the image of dangdut. Inul's pros and cons continue. However, Inul continues to work and expand in the world of Indonesian music.

And finally he sped up to the Netherlands and Japan. Inul suddenly became a superstar, his fans in East Java called the word Inulity as a name for Inul's stabbing'. His hip-centered shake was contested in many places, and this village girl suddenly got the nickname from embedding an expression: Rocking a Million People.

Even in some places it became (apologies), a million people. Now Inul is being contested by two record producers in Jakarta by singing his own song, "is written in a Tempo magazine report entitled Inul Goyang Sejuta Umat (2003).

Inul's popularity in making concert organizers, IMS Prima in neighboring countries, Malaysia wants to bring Inul on July 10, 2008. The concert titled Filled Concert Inul Livedi Johor Baru was prepared. Tickets for the concert were selling well. Inul is happy not to play.

However, problems arise. Inul's concert permit did not fail to come out as refusal arose from various Malaysian Islamic groups because Inul had a bad image of erotic seesaw. The organizers immediately canceled the concert on July 10, 2008.

As a result, Inul's concert schedule was updated. At that time, the organizers made Tan Sri Haji Hassan Yunos Stadium in Larkin, Johor Baru as the location of the new concert on July 19, 2008. The concert plan seemed smooth. Inul was even already in Malaysia on July 19, 2008.

Inul was surprised when the concert was canceled again. The problem is the same: permit matters. He felt that the Malaysian government had twice banned the concert from taking place by not issuing a permit. Inul himself was confused because he thought he had not done something strange or violated the law.

"I didn't do anything wrong and as far as it was revealed in the news, local media also supported me. What surprised me was because I wasn't informed about this delay even until I arrived in Kuala Lumpur today (Saturday 19 July). I'm not sure if I can perform on 27 July as I should discuss with my manager," said Inul as quoted on the detik.com page, 19 July 2008.
