Two Methamphetamine Dealers Arrested In Serang, Evidence Hidden In Drink Packaging
SERANG Two drug dealers of methamphetamine were arrested in the Perumnas Ciracas area, Serang City, on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. Both were arrested after their own families reported suspicious activities to the police.
The Banten Police's Narcotics Investigation Directorate said the two suspects had the initials WR and AP. The arrests were made after the police team received reports from residents who saw unusual activities around their neighborhood.
"Our team immediately moved after receiving reports from the public. The suspect and evidence were handed over by the family, who seem to have been worried about the activity," said Kombes Pol Wiwin Setiawan, Director of Drug Investigation at the Banten Police, Friday, July 18, 20255.
From the results of the examination, WR admitted that he had spread methamphetamine at 19 different points in the Serang City area. Officers then traced the points in question and found a number of evidences of methamphetamine hidden in packages of used powdered beverages, such as Nutrisari, and placed in bushes or other public places.

The police said the distribution system used was a "dot" method, in which methamphetamine was taken from a person with the initials B who is currently languishing in the Pandeglang Prison. WR and AP are tasked with placing packages at the designated location so that buyers can take them.
WR claimed to receive wages between Rp. 1 million to Rp. 6 million per transaction. Meanwhile, AP was paid Rp. 100,000 to Rp. 300 thousand to help put methamphetamine in the delivery location.
Now both of them are detained and charged with Article 114 paragraph (1) subsidiary Article 112 paragraph (1) junto Article 132 paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. They face a minimum prison sentence of 6 years to a maximum of 20 years.
This arrest cannot be separated from the involvement of residents who are firm in their drug trafficking in their environment. The police appealed to the public to continue to report if they found similar activities.
