Bengkulu Prosecutor's Office Confiscates 22 Assets Of Corruption Suspects And Mega Mall TPPU

BENGKULU - The Bengkulu High Prosecutor's Office confiscated 22 assets in the form of land and buildings belonging to three suspects in the corruption case of the PAD Mega Mall leak and the Modern Traditional Market (PTM) of Bengkulu City and the crime of money laundering (TPPU).

The confiscation of the 22 assets belonged to the three suspects, namely the President Director of PT Trigadi Lestari Kurniadi Benggawan, the Director of PT Tigadi Lestari Heriadi Benggawan, and the Commissioner of PT Tigadi Lestari Satriadi Benggawan, one of whom is on Jalan KZ Abidin, Bengkulu City.

"This is still related to the Mega Mall case, both criminal acts of corruption and other crimes. This asset belongs to PT Tigadi Lestari which we are currently investigating based on the Bengkulu District Court's decision," said Head of the Bengkulu Attorney General's Special Operations Section Wenharnol accompanied by Head of Prosecution Arif Wirawan as reported by ANTARA, Friday, July 18.

The confiscation was based on the confiscation letter of the Head of the Bengkulu High Prosecutor's Office Number; PRINT-810/L.7/Fd.2/07/2025 dated July 16, 2025 and the determination of the Corruption Court at the Bengkulu District Court Number: 40/Pen.Pid.sus-TPK-SITA/2025PN Bgl dated July 15, 2025.

A total of 22 plots of land that became the object of confiscation in cases of alleged corruption and money laundering offenses, however, the total assets confiscated are still in the process of being calculated.

"The number varies, and we have not calculated the total asset value in detail, the most important thing is that we are currently focusing on saving assets first," he said.

Wenharnol explained that for the activities of traders who rented or bought shop houses on the confiscated land, the investigative team would verify ownership status in accordance with the judge's decision.

He emphasized that the asset confiscation process would not interfere with the activities of the traders, because the investigative team only carried out the legal process currently running at the Bengkulu Prosecutor's Office.

Previously, the Bengkulu High Prosecutor's Office confiscated 28 land parcels after tracing assets belonging to the three suspects in Palembang City, South Sumatra Province.
