Violating The Limit Of Stay Permit, Eight Citizens From Nigeria Arrested By Jakut Immigration Officers
JAKARTA - The Immigration Intelligence and Enforcement Section at the Class I Immigration Office of North Jakarta TPI arrested eight foreign nationals (WNA) from Nigeria who committed immigration violations in the form of crossing the overstay limit in the Wirawaspada Operation.
"Eight foreigners from Nigeria were arrested after carrying out operations in a number of apartments in North Jakarta," said Head of the Immigration Intelligence and Enforcement Section at the Class I Immigration Office of TPI North Jakarta Widya Anusa Brata, ANTARA, Friday, July 18, 2025.
He said the eight Nigerian foreigners had the initials (IVC), (EDO), (CCA), (ONA), (NEI), (REI), (FA), and (AIM).
They are suspected of committing immigration violations in the form of overstays in accordance with Article 78 paragraph 3 of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration.
Currently, the eight Nigerian citizens are subject to immigration administrative action in the form of detention at the Class I Immigration Office of TPI North Jakarta.
Widya explained that the eight foreigners would then be subject to Immigration Administrative Actions in the form of deportation and deterrence.

The Wirawaspa operation which was held from July 15-16, 2025, was an immigration law enforcement operation and for foreigners.
Those who violate immigration law will be subject to immigration crimes or immigration administrative actions in the form of deportation accompanied by deterrence.
The operation was carried out in accordance with the directives and instructions from the Minister of Immigration and Corrections related to the Implementation of Immigration Supervision in enforcing immigration law.
In addition, this operation also aims to prevent disturbances in public order and suppress potential criminal acts by rogue foreigners who violate the rules.
Widya said that during the Wirawaspada Operation, the Immigration Intelligence and Enforcement Section of the Class I Immigration Office of North Jakarta TPI conducted an examination of 15 foreigners found in the Kelapa Gading and Penjaringan areas, North Jakarta.
After the examination. found eight foreigners who were indicated to have violated immigration rules. They were then taken to the North Jakarta Immigration Office for examination
"After conducting an examination in the field, eight foreigners were suspected of committing immigration violations in the form of overstays and were immediately prosecuted," he said.
